  • KHV Serology: Mark Bodycott utilizing a spinal needle to draw blood.  On very large fish, the spinal needle insert is left in the hub of the needle then withdrawn after the needle is positioned. The syringe is then attached and blood withdrawn.  The insert strengthens the fine needla as well as keeps the needlle from clogging with tissue while being inserted.
